Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust organized a memorable three-day trip to Yercaud from August 28 to 30, 2026, for our visually impaired female students residing in the hostel, accompanied by our dedicated volunteers.
At the Bird Park, some of our students experienced birds perching on their hands and bodies for the very first time. Having known birds mainly through their sounds, touching and feeling them brought them immense joy and wonder.
The students also bravely touched a live snake, with some even experiencing it around their necks under proper supervision, and touched a live fish—creating unforgettable moments of excitement and amazement.
They further enjoyed a joyful boat ride at the Government Boat House, and visited Sethurayan Temple, the scenic viewpoint and beautiful parks.
For three wonderful days, our students explored, laughed and experienced the world with complete freedom. They forgot their visual impairment and soared like wingless birds, carrying home memories filled with happiness, courage and confidence.
Yercaud was not just a destination—it became an unforgettable experience to touch, feel and cherish.
