Annual General Body Meeting of Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust - 2024
We are delighted to announce that the Annual General Body Meeting of Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust took place on August 31, 2024. The meeting was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Balamurali KR, Managing Partner of Sun Facilities Services, and Ms. Hamel Joshi, Auditor of Joshi & Joshi.
Key Resolutions:
- A unanimous vote of thanks was extended to all our Volunteers friends and donors for their invaluable support during the financial year 2023-2024.
- Over the past year, more than 1,800 visually impaired beneficiaries have received our services, with approximately 13 lakh rupees spent on these efforts. Special appreciation was expressed for the support received during natural calamities.
- We expressed heartfelt appreciation to our visually impaired students who have not only excelled in their studies but have also graduated and secured commendable placements, with some joining our team.
- A resolution was passed to acquire our own buildings and premises for Thaaikarangal, marking a significant step forward in our mission.
Awards and Recognition:
Following the meeting, an event was held at our free hostel for visually impaired girls, where we honored several outstanding individuals:
- Ms. Nagaleshmi – Tamilnadu's first visually impaired female law college professor.
- Ms. Madhavi – A skilled and dedicated computer instructor.
- Our visually impaired students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement.
We take immense pride in recognizing and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of these extraordinary individuals!
