Career Orientation Program for Visually Impaired School Children – Thanjavur & Trichy

Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust successfully conducted a Career Guidance Program for Visually Impaired School Students on 24th January 2026 at the following schools:

Students from grades 10, 11, and 12 participated in the session with immense interest and curiosity. Our Foundation’s Joint Treasurer, Mr. Venkatesan, interacted with the students and offered guidance on important topics such as:

  • Government Higher Secondary School for the Visually Impaired, Thanjavur
  • Government Girls Higher Secondary School for the Visually Impaired, Trichy

The program was organised for visually impaired students studying in 10th, 11th, and 12th standards, with the aim of guiding them towards higher education opportunities and suitable career pathways after school education.

The session was conducted by Dr. R. Raja, Managing Trustee & President of Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust, who interacted directly with the students and provided guidance on subject selection, higher studies, college education, and career opportunities available for visually impaired students.

Mr. Shankar from Kamadhenu Charities was also present during the program and extended his support and encouragement to the students. The collaboration with Kamadhenu Charities added significant value to the program and strengthened the collective effort towards empowering visually impaired students.

The students actively participated in the session and raised several questions related to their academic future. The interaction helped them gain clarity, confidence, and awareness about the opportunities available beyond school education. Many students expressed interest in pursuing higher studies and building an independent future.

Such career guidance initiatives play a vital role in motivating visually impaired students and helping them make informed decisions about their education and careers. Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust remains committed to continuing such programs across Tamil Nadu.
