A Major Milestone for Visually Impaired Female Students

Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust proudly inaugurated the Digital Skill Center for visually impaired female students on 05 November 2025.
This centre is designed to strengthen digital literacy, employability skills, and independent learning for young women with visual impairments.
This milestone was made possible through the generous support of Symrise Private Limited and VV Charitable Trust.
Powerful Collaboration for Inclusion
On 05 November 2025, the team from Symrise Private Limited, along with Auditor Varadharajan Sir from VV Charitable Trust, visited our Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust Hostel.
With their full support and hands-on involvement, the Digital Skill Center was:
- Completely set up
- Equipped with assistive technology
- Made functional by the evening
Later the same day, the centre was formally inaugurated in the presence of their entire team — marking a significant new chapter in our journey toward digital empowerment for visually impaired learners.
About the Digital Skill Center
The new Digital Skill Center is equipped to provide:
- Digital literacy training
- Screen reader–based computer education
- Online learning support
- Career-focused digital and employability skills
This facility supports visually impaired female students from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them build:
- Confidence
- Independence
- Job readiness
