Diwali Celebrations at Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust
We are delighted to share the wonderful highlights of this year’s Diwali celebrations at our Chennai and Thanjavur hostels, where our visually impaired students came together to embrace the spirit of light, joy, and togetherness.
The evening was filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Our students enjoyed:
- A sumptuous dinner accompanied by delicious Diwali sweets
- New festive clothes that brought smiles and added colour to their celebrations
- Lively music, dance, and multicultural performances that created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere
- A beautiful firecracker display that lit up the night and filled hearts with happiness

We were deeply honored to welcome Mrs. Sukanya, Member of Chennai Corporation, Ward 109, whose presence added inspiration and grace to the celebration.
Continuing the Festivities
The celebrations did not end there!
On the 17th, our visually impaired beneficiaries were taken out for a special dinner and Diwali gathering, making the festival even more memorable.
In the true spirit of Diwali, we also extended our joy to other visually impaired hostels across Chennai by distributing sweets and sharing happiness with many young hearts. 🍬❤️
A Special Treat
On 26th November 2025, with the generous support of Visionaries Trust, our beneficiaries enjoyed the blockbuster film " Bison ", directed by Mari Selvaraj and starring Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, and Rajisha Vijayan.
This outing was filled with excitement, emotion, and joy — a truly cherished experience for our students. 🎥🌟
