Successful Completion of 8-Day Computer Workshop for Visually Impaired by Thaaikarangal Trust and VIT Chennai

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the 8-Day Computer Workshop for visually impaired individuals, organized by Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust in association with Darshini and in collaboration with VIT Vellore Institute of Technology – Chennai. The event took place from May 20 to May 27, 2024, at the VIT Chennai Campus.

The workshop was inaugurated on May 20th by Dr. P. K. Manoharan, Additional Registrar of VIT Chennai, alongside esteemed guests Mrs. Soumya, Mrs. Padma Narasiman, and Thayarammal. This initiative aimed at empowering inclusivity and providing equal opportunities by enhancing computer skills crucial for thriving in today's digital world.

A total of 54 participants engaged in this comprehensive training program, gaining substantial knowledge in a variety of topics, from basic computer skills to advanced artificial intelligence technology.

The valedictory ceremony on May 27th was graced by Mrs. Ramani Balasoundram, Trustee of VIT Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal, who honored an outstanding student with a laptop and presented awards to other top performers. Special guests Dr. Asokan, Director and CEO of GEM Hospital, and Mr. Balamurali, Managing Partner of Sun Facility Service, also attended to congratulate the participants on their achievements.
