World Braille Day Celebration at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay

Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay, in partnership with Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust, celebrated World Braille Day and the 216th birth anniversary of Louis Braille with a meaningful event aimed at empowering visually impaired individuals.

Event Highlights:

1. Release of Braille Menu Card:

The resort introduced a Braille-format menu, enabling visually impaired guests to independently access dining options, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.

2. White Cane Walk:

To foster empathy and awareness, all resort employees were blindfolded and guided by the visually impaired students of Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust. The walk commenced from the resort’s beach and concluded at the Heritage Lobby, creating an unforgettable experience for all participants.

3. Distinguished Guests:

  • Mr. Pramod Khairnar, President of CREDAI Maharashtra
  • Mr. Shabin Sarvotham, Head of Temple Bay Hotel
  • Dr. Raja, President of Thaaikarangal Charitable Trust

4. Celebration and Lunch:

Following the ceremony, the visually impaired students enjoyed a sumptuous 5-star hotel lunch, adding joy to the occasion.

This event provided a new and enriching experience for our visually impaired female students, further exemplifying the spirit of inclusion and accessibility.
